Dance Spirit Viewers' Choice Cover Model Search October 2009
Congratulations to Dania Vizzi, October Viewer’s Choice winner for the DS 2009 Cover Model Search. Her solo, “Breathe Me,” showed off her killer extension and impressive balance. We loved her choice of music and costume (tulle wrapped asymmetrically around the torso and tied around the leg). Two highlights of the piece were the pirouette unexpectedly dropping to the floor toward the beginning and the scorpion displaying outstanding flexibility andcontrol . The piece showed off Dania’s artistic expression and proved her great commitment and potential in dance. From here, we’d love to see her focus on relaxing her shoulders, expressing herself with detail during transiton steps, and exploring a deeper plie to develop a more grounded connection with the floor and to show off her gorgeous legs to their fullest.
