Self-Tanning Picks From The Pros
Brianne Carlon | April 1, 2010

We asked a few pros to recommend their favorite at-home products so that you can begin working on your safe, sunless tan right away. The first three are self-tanners that will react with your skin to create a darker color that lasts a few days. The last is a bronzer that acts like makeup to produce a temporary glow.

L’Oréal Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion: “It gives instant color, has shimmer, and over a few days of use, develops a nice-looking tan.” –Michele Harrington, professional bellydancer

Neutrogena MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray: “It goes on even, and the smell isn’t as strong as that of other products.” –Brooke Griffin, former Cincinnati Ben-Gals dance team captain, 2009 Fitness Universe Champion

Arbonne BefoRE Sun: “It’s easy and fast. My skin looks great, and it doesn’t stink. It also has an anti-aging component.” –Susanne Wagner, independent ballroom dancer

Rimmel London SunShimmer Instant Tan Makeup: “It’s dark and works well. I like it the best for performance.” –Kate Nasser, Open Gold Latin Pro/Am competitor
