8 Things Every Dancer Needs to Do Over Winter Break
Winter break is finally here! After months of hard word between school and The Nutcracker, now is officially our time to kick back and relax. But as dancers, we always have a checklist of things to get done. Here are 8 things that you should totally do before school picks back up again.
Ice Your Body
Your body is probably still crying from The Nutcracker, so make sure to start off break by taking a good ice bath. And to make it more enjoyable, force a friend to do it with you.
Catch Up on Sleep
Yep, we know you’re exhausted. Go ahead and sleep for the first few days of break. You deserve it.
And when you wake up, why not binge-watch our fav show “Bunheads” which is back on Hulu!?
Eat. Eat. Eat.
Your body needs nutrients after all those long rehearsals and performances, so make sure to stay healthy and eat well.
Take a Snowy Dance Pic
A tilt pic in the snow? Sounds pretty iconic to us.
Have Quality Time with Family
Of course, use winter break to spend great time with your family.
Have Impromptu Dance Sessions
We can’t go the entire winter break without dancing, so invite over your closest pals and jam out to your favorite songs. You never know when choreography genius can strike.
Watch “Center Stage” 17 Times
Honestly, this is a tradition that all dancers must abide by.
