And the 2017 Best Choreography Emmy Goes to…
(…drumroll please…)
Travis Wall AND Mandy Moore!
Yup, it’s a tie: At the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday night, both Wall and Moore took home statuettes. 🏆 🏆
Hearing Moore’s name was especially thrilling because this is her first Emmy win, following four unsuccessful bids in the choreography category (in 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2014). This year, she earned noms for multiple routines for “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” These two high-energy “DWTS” numbers ultimately earned her the prize:
Wall’s already got one Emmy on his mantle; he earned it back in 2015. But his win this year, for a trio of show-stopping routines he made for “SYTYCD” (“The Mirror, “Send in the Clowns,” and “She Used to Be Mine”), felt particularly well-deserved. Check out the internet-breaking “The Mirror,” which probably could have earned him the award all by itself:
Congrats, you two!
