"DWTS" Week 7 Recap: Tricks and Treats

November 1, 2018

ICYMI, this week on “Dancing with the Stars” was Halloween Week. And since we’re still in MAJOR denial that all the spookiness has subsided for the year, we’re revisiting our favorite pieces. There were not one but two perfect scores that night, and the dances do not disappoint.

Milo Manheim & Witney Carson

The Disney Channel star has proved he’s got moves. And this piece with pro partner Witney Carson scored him three 10s. It’s not hard to see why. The contemporary routine to “Toxic” by 2WEI was perfectly eery: Manheim was an insane asylum patient falling in love with his equally creepy nurse. But the judges couldn’t get enough, saying it was “spellbinding” (Len Goodman) and “mind-bending” (Bruno Tonioli).

Juan Pablo Di Pace & Cheryl Burke

The Argentinian actor brought the party in his Egyptian inspired jive to the perfectly on-theme “Dead Man’s Party” by Atwater Men’s Club. It was so fun, upbeat, and super energetic. So, naturally, the judges awarded the pair the night’s second perfect score. They had literally nothing to criticize. This was also the duo’s second perfect score of the season, so it’s pretty clear they’ll be sticking around for a while.

And for your viewing pleasure, here’s the opening number that was so festively fun we almost couldn’t handle it:

But there were also some really scary parts of Halloween Week: an elimination. 😱 Unfortunately, gymnast Mary Lou Retton and partner Sasha Farber didn’t make the cut and were sent home. The competition is truly heating up, guys!
