How to Live La Dolce Vita, According to Roberto Bolle
Spoiler alert: Luxury goods are involved.
Tod’s, the verrrrrrrrrry high-end Italian brand perhaps best known for its leather bags, shoes, and accessories, has made some interesting casting choices for their spring/summer 2018 ad campaign. Namely, they paired model Kendall Jenner (of bad-ballet notoriety) with international danseur noble Roberto Bolle (of American Ballet Theatre, La Scala, and some of the most delightfully bonkers Cloud & Victory memes) and put them on a beach at golden hour—with a corgi AND a French bulldog. Unsurprisingly, the result is really, really hard to dislike.
While Bolle’s pristine technique doesn’t dominate the spot per se (keep your eyes peeled for a gorge grand jeté, though!), Tod’s is definitely making the case for dancers being the elegant, effortless-looking creatures we already know we are. (But thanks for the vote of confidence, Tod’s!)
As the label says
, “The visuals for the Tod’s spring-summer 2018 campaign are infused with the secrets of the Italian Lifestyle. The Italian way of life has its own inimitable, unique charm, which is loved all over the world. Together, a true ambassador of Italy renowned around the world and an artist with her own global following who loves Italy, live all things beautiful and Italian. Smiling, as they spend a relaxing day in the sunshine, Kendall and Roberto experience the Italian way of life and the world of Tod’s with its quality and impeccable taste.”
Day-off #goals, amirite?
