"So You Think You Can Dance" Wants YOU!

Do you think you can dance? Let me rephrase that: Do you know you can dance?

“So You Think You Can Dance,”
aka America’s Favorite Dance Show, is back for its twelfth season this year—and the audition tour kicks off in two days. That’s right: In fewer than 48 hours, you could be on your way to all kinds of dance fame and glory.

As you might have heard, this season of “SYT” will be a little different. Rather than lumping dancers of all styles together, it’ll split them into two groups: the “stage” dancers, trained in contemporary, ballet, jazz or tap; and the “street” dancers, specializing in hip hop, animation or breaking. The Top 20 will include 10 dancers from each category. And that categorization will begin early in the audition process, with advancing dancers getting placed in either the Stage or the Street group right off the bat.
