Aaaand We're Back on "The Stage Rightside with James Whiteside"

May 18, 2017

Has there ever been any news as #TGIF-worthy as this? Earlier this morning, Season 2, Episode 1 of American Ballet Theatre principal James Whiteside’s hilarious/fascinating/straight-up genius podcast “The Stage Rightside with James Whiteside” was released!

Never heard of it?! Get thee to iTunes, stat. If you’re a bunhead with a wicked, irreverent sense of humor (and aren’t we all?), this is THE podcast to binge-listen.

Just to give you some idea of the pure joy that lies in store for you, this first episode of Season 2 (“The CocoMotion”) has Whiteside interviewing fellow principal dancer Cory Stearns in their shared dressing room on, yes, the stage-right side of the Metropolitan Opera House. The dynamic duo dish on everything from setting an intention before an important performance to how competitions like Youth America Grand Prix are changing literally everyone’s attitudes toward ballet.

And if you’re late to the “Stage Rightside” game, no judgment but like, get on that pronto. Whiteside has interviewed living legend Julie Kent, choreography king Alexei Ratmansky and tons of other cool folks who spill all kinds of secrets about life backstage at ABT.

Happy listening
, and happy weekend!
