February 11, 2019

Need more evidence that K-pop is taking over the universe, one infectiously catchy song and impeccably choreographed dance routine at a time? Look no further than BLACKPINK’s fabulous appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” last night.

The talented foursome, which is about to launch its first U.S. tour, made its American television debut on the show, performing its massive hit “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du.” (Fun fact: The song’s music video is currently the most-viewed vid by a K-pop group on YouTube—and has inspired some pretty epic tributes). As we’ve come to expect of all things coming out of the K-pop universe, the performance was as much a dance event as a music event. (Another fun fact: BLACKPINK has worked with a bunch of A-list choreographers, including Kyle Hanagami and Parris Goebel.)
