#Flashback: Jurgita Dronina at the 2005 Moscow IBC

February 25, 2016

It seems like each time we blink, the level of excellence at competitions gets higher and higher. We love seeing dancers pushing their limits each year, but that usually means more pirouettes, higher extensions and bigger tricks.

So here’s a #flashback of the stunning National Ballet of Canada principal Jurgita Dronina to remind us all that you can place at a major comp (she won silver with this variation at the 2005 Moscow International Ballet Competition) without any high kicks at all. Crystal-clear pointe work and razor-sharp precision will get you there, too.

How’s that for some weekend motivation?
