You'll Never See Gigi and Bella Hadid the Same Way After You Watch Them Break It Down in This "Vogue" Video
Gigi and Bella Hadid are what most of us would call #blessed. I mean, they have a wardrobe even Barbie would envy. Turns out the supermodels are blessed in other ways too: They can actually dance. And those dancing chops are on full display in Vogue‘s latest fashion film called “Hadid! Hadid! Hadid!” In fact, the whole Hadid family breaks it down in the funny parody made to resemble the classic movie Beetlejuice. The clip starts with the Hadid’s preparing to enjoy a family dinner, when suddenly Yolanda, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar release their inner dancing queens to Harry Belafonte’s “The Banana Boat Song (Day-O).” They whip out everything from classic moves like the Egyptian to more trendy moves like flossing.
Turns out the brilliant mastermind behind these moves is none other than dance phenom Sherrie Silver, who’s choreo for Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” music video propelled her into stardom. Silver even shared some behind-the-scenes footage of her coaching the Hadids on set. We can’t help but notice the subtle hints of Afro dance Silver included in the choreo, which makes sense since the Rawandan native is known for her passion for the genera and is aspiring to bring African dance to the forefront of pop culture. Who better to help shine a light on the beautiful yet often overlooked dance style then one of the most recognized families in the world?!
Between Silva’s choreo and the Hadid fam’s effort, our verdict is that this video is lit! Besides, we can’t get over how into it Gigi is (girl knows the choreography and seems to be having fun with it). And though the Hadids aren’t trained dancers, they’ve officially danced their way into our hearts.
