Ahh NYC in December…

Christmas movies—from Miracle on 34th Street to Elf—tell us it’s the most magical place on earth to spend the holiday season. And in many ways, it is! There’s the tree at Rockefeller Center, the elaborately decorated windows of Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and chestnuts roasting (not on an open fire…) on every other street corner.

But NYC during the holidays can also be pretty unpleasant. First of all, it’s freezing. And if NYC normally has 8 million people, there are a gazillion more during during Christmas. More people means it’s more crowded, and bigger crowds mean (even) crankier New Yorkers. But you know who’s not cranky? This girl:

At the beginning of December, this adorable little girl decided to start a dance party on the subway platform at Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn. And here’s the kicker: The rest of the folks on the platform joined in. Happy people waiting in the cold for a subway train?! Call it a Christmas miracle. Enjoy!
