"World of Dance" Week 9 Recap: Keep On Duelin'

August 1, 2018

Guys, we gotta say it. Although the competition gets SUPER FIERCE, we really really really love The Duels. Why? Because we get to see all of our favorites from earlier in the season perform their hearts out again! Last night’s episode of “World of Dance” gave us just that. And while we did lose some greats (😢), the dancing was beyond incredible. It was the Juniors, though, that really shined. Here are our highlights.

Charity & Andres

Two words: PERFECT SCORE. 💯💯💯 This contemporary duo nabbed the first-ever 100 score in “WOD” history. If that doesn’t prove they’re in it to win it, we’re not sure what will. And although their competitor Vivian Ruiz stood her ground and scored in the high 90s, Charity and Andres’ flawless performance brought them through to The Cuts. The pair’s epic piece to “Way Down We Go” by Kaleo was intense, powerful, and technically insane (tbh we’ve never even seen some of those lifts they whipped out before).

Sean & Kaycee

It’s never a bad day when we get to watch Sean & Kaycee perform, and these two set the bar HIGH last night. Their performance included some of the crispest, most intricate hip hop we’ve ever watched. They were up against hip hop trio 3 Xtreme, who also brought their A-game, but Sean & Kaycee’s adorable chemistry and technical choreography got them through to the next round.

The Lab

The Lab pulled off what might be the tightest group routine we’ve seen so far on the “WOD” stage. Their performance to “Lean Back” was insanely clean, super high-energy, and filled with some pretty fierce technical tricks. These kids do not mess around. It was 🔥.
