American Ballet Theatre's Pointe Shoes Go Couture
Pointe shoes are already very pretty and pink, so what happens when you have a bunch of the world’s top fashion designers customize a pair? Well, American Ballet Theatre‘s answered that question for us with their “Collector’s Edition” pointe shoe auction. The company had designers ranging from Dolce & Gabanna to Marchesa add their magic couture touches to the shanks, vamps and ribbons, resulting in some seriously stunning craftsmanship. ABT’s been on a fashionista roll lately, and although these special-edition shoes are unfortunately super expensive, ballerinas can dream, right? And they’re soooo pretty to look at! #Goals.
