A Look at "city.ballet." Episode 4
This week’s episode is all about the soloist rank—or as the dancers refer to it, “purgatory.” While they may be moving up within New York City Ballet, they still have a long way to go.
FUN FACT:
When soloist Megan LeCrone says her body started breaking down after years of ballet, she means it: She’s had three surgeries on her ankles—one on her right, two on her left—and one on her knee. Plus, she’s had to recover from a collapsed lung.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
“For me, dancing is my oxygen. When I’m not able to do it, I feel as if I’m dying a little bit.” —Craig Hall, soloist
