Archival dance photos!

June 22, 2008

Do you love dance history? Want to put a piece of it up on your walls, or give the perfect gift to the dance history buff in your life? Then you gotta check this out…

Jacob’s Pillow has launched an online photo store where you can purchase prints of photos from the organization’s extensive, extensive archive–think priceless shots of Margot Fonteyn, Martha Graham, José Limón and even Joseph Pilates onstage and in the studio! You can get the pictures themselves (suitable for framing) or put them on greeting cards, mugs, shirts and more. Go to jacobspillow.org/store to browse the images!

While you’re at it, you should see what’s playing at the Pillow this summer–I’m hoping to get up to see the debut of Trey McIntyre Project, the new contemporary ballet troupe from choreographer Trey McIntyre. There’s nothing quite like great dance outside in the mountains. I’ll let you know if I get up there this summer and who I end up seeing!

lots of love,
