Think you’ve got what it takes to make it big in the biz? FameCast, an online talent competition where performers post videos of themselves doin’ their thing and viewers vote for their faves, is gearing up for its fourth season. Interested in joining in? Dancers have until
noon on January 31 to upload their initial videos. Then, as voting gears up, you’ll be narrowed down to 50, then 25, then 10, then finally a top 5 and one “FameCast Fenom” winner–who receives a $10,000 prize!
The top 10 in each category (in addition to dancers, FameCast has “stages” for musicians, singer-songwriters, comedians, filmmakers and more!) also get feedback on their performance from an industry expert. I was one of these for the dance stage last season, and it was loads of fun to see what dancers out there are doing! I looked at a great array of performers, from hip hop freestyle to lyrical jazz, and got to compliment and critique each of them on the site.
