Jabbawockeez Hit the Road

As first-season winners of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew,” the Jabbawockeez have enthralled us with hypnotic routines and trademark masks. Now they’re touring with Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew Live (also featuring BrakeSk8 and other hot groups) and hitting 20 cities through October 15. Now 11 members strong, the crew talked to DS.

DS: Tell us about the “ABDC” experience!

Rynan Paguio:
It was a challenge because we didn’t get to see our families for two months. But it was also a blessing to know we inspired so many people.

DS: What’s exciting about the tour for you?

RP:
We have new routines to our own original music. We want to take the fans on another ride in the mind of a Jabbawockeez—respect the unexpected.

DS: What’s next?

Joe Larot:
Other fields like music, movies and comics. We’re coming out with a clothing line called JBWKZ and would like to have our own tour. We also want to set up an arts-education learning center for the younger generation. —Lauren
