Meeting MC Hammer!

MC Hammer and I met at The Cheesecake Factory in Palo Alto, CA, for an interview about DanceJam. I was intimidated at first, especially when Hammer walked in rocking a dark suit, shades and diamond studs. Despite his formal exterior, the guy was extremely down-to-earth. After I grilled him about DanceJam, we talked about his son (who’s a hip-hop dancer), and his service in the Navy. it was very cool—it’s not every day you get to eat lunch with a pop culture icon!
