Must See: "Step Up 3D"

There’s not even a full day left until the dance-packed film Step Up 3D hits theaters. I was lucky enough to catch an early screening of the movie (thanks to Broadway Dance Center) and excitedly left the theater wanting to dance. The movie’s choreography, a combination of break dancing, stunts, and hip hop, is successfully enhanced by the 3D technology.

In Step Up 2: The Steets, Adam Sevani, who plays Moose, grabbed my attention. So I knew I could expect great things from him, and he gave us just that. Within the first ten minutes of the movie Sevani shows us his amazing dance skills when he battles another dancer, break dancing in an outdoor park. His talents are matched by the rest of the powerhouse cast, which includes Sharni Vinson and Stephen “tWitch” Boss. The theater buzzed with excitement and energy after each dance scene. The acting may have fallen short for me, but the strength of this movie is all in the steps. You definitely don’t want to miss out!
