Jazzing It Up

 

The Alonzo King LINES Ballet is adding a kick to its fall home season by collaborating with jazz pianist Jason Moran. The San Francisco–based contemporary ballet company will perform a world premiere set to Moran’s compositions, along with its hit repertoire piece The Moroccan Project to live Moroccan music by El Hamideen. For the first time, American Ballet Theatre will travel to China’s capital city to perform at the new National Centre for the Performing Arts.
