Vanessa’s Five Favorite Leotards for the Summer!
You’ve always dreamed of dancing in the corps of your favorite company—at least to start out. But let’s face it: Nearly everyone possesses an inner
diva, her own “Sasha Fierce.” This is the girl who doesn’t want to blend in, the dancer who wants to take the stage and WOW the audience. And even if you’re part of an ensemble, there are ways to make your presence known and show your star quality. DS picked five summer must-have leotards that are spunky, unique and colorful, and will draw all eyes to you.
Our first show stopper is Natalie’s tank leotard with contrast back, which has a sporty racer back that gives it a summery, bathing suit feel. We love the navy and pink combo. Wear this dynamic leo at rehearsal, in class or to your next audition and you’ll be sure to stand out.
Jozette for Mirella has another eye-catching look. Their camisole leotard with a finely detailed, woven and knotted back is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before! And the demure pomegranate color screams summer-chic. Combining athleticism and femininity, this leotard is sure to get people asking, “Where did you get that?”
This So Danca twist front and back camisole is a delicate, strappy leotard with a twisty detail that will undoubtedly get you noticed. And the Celestine blue seems inspired by the bold, berrylicious colors seen on today’s high-fashion runways.
Capezio‘s boat neck leotard also called out to us. Reminiscent of Jackie O’s iconic 1960s fashion sensibility, this is a look that will never go out of style. Grab this classic in sweet salmon pink to capture the former-first lady’s glamour.
Last but certainly not least, we chose the Capezio adult tank leotard. This quaint cutie in seafoam blue is a gorgeous look. Try dressing it up with a bright yellow shrug or a pair of funky patterned booty shorts.
All of these leotards are versatile and look awesome with pink tights, black tights, shorts, leggings and skirts, which means that no matter what the dress code, you can still show off your own personal style.
