Calling all Zooey Deschanel fans! There’s yet another reason to love this quirky, talented goddess with the voice of an angel. (What? I’m a big fan of “New Girl” and Elf, OK?)

If you didn’t already know, Deschanel is part of the indie duo She & Him along with M. Ward. The two recently released a new album, Classics, with 13 covers of—you guessed it—classic songs. One of those songs is Dusty Springfield’s “Stay Awhile” from 1964. What on earth does this have to do with dance? Well, in She & Him’s music video for “Stay Awhile,” Deschanel ballroom dances with an invisible partner. (I wish I’d thought of that idea at my high school prom! BA DUM TSSHHH.)

At first, it seems like  she’s just miming the movement, but then a lift or a dip comes, and you’re all like, Whoa! What just happened? It’s bizarre, it’s quirky, it’s sweet—it’s everything we love about Zooey Deschanel.
