MOG Moment

Last summer I jetted to L.A. with DS Art Director Jo Daño for photo shoots and made some famous friends along the way.

First, we stopped at the VIP teachers’ suite at The Pulse. I interviewed Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio and Cris Judd and also got a glimpse of Laurie Ann Gibson and Brian Friedman!

After working hard, Jo and I were ready to go back to home-sweet NYC. Unfortunately, my flight got canceled—I was stranded in L.A. for two days!

I decided to take advantage of the extra time and got a ticket to “SYTYCD.” At the show, I was seated two rows behind the judges and one behind Paula Abdul (who grabbed my arm when I introduced myself!). Later,

I chatted up Sonya Tayeh, Tabitha and Napoleon and Adam Shankman.

The MOGiest moment of all, though, was when Tyce remembered me from The Pulse and gave me a big hug when I arrived! Plus, when

the show aired, the DS editors got a kick out

of seeing my face in the background on screen.
