Dry Shampoo Is a Lifesaver, But Don't Overuse It

If you’re on the run from the studio to a social event with no time to shower, a few pumps of dry shampoo might seem like the next best thing. But before you shake ‘n’ spray away, you might want to reconsider:
Dermatologists agree that too much dry shampoo can seriously sabotage your hair. Dry shampoo isn’t actually shampoo but a powder formula that absorbs oil. So the more (actual) shampoos you skip, the more oils, sweat and formula build up on your scalp, potentially irritating your skin. Instead, use dry shampoo sparingly and consider alternatives like baby powder, which brushes out easily with little to no residue.
