In the Heights On the Big Screen

Can’t get “96,000” out of your head? Now you can sing along to your In the Heights favorites at the movies! Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to produce a feature film based on the musical.

It’s been quite a year for the cast and crew of Broadway’s In the Heights. The show took the Great White Way by storm in 2008, sweeping the Tony Awards by taking home the evening’s top nods, including Best Musical and Best Choreography. Now, the popular show will reach audiences far beyond NYC.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the heart, soul and creator behind In the Heights, will produce the film alongside Quiara Alegría Hudes.
